I was confident we would go well in Race 4 with the good numbers turning up over the holiday training sessions.
That commitment was proven today by 2 heats and final win in the senior B (GM) which then gave us max 6 points towards the first four races perpetual trophy.
Without the final win the trophy was gone but with the place results going our way (Pittwater 2nd, BeiLoon 3rd and leaders Newcastle 4th, we have leapfrogged 1st and 2nd to bring that little wooden trophy back to Nowra 3 years in a row!
Truly satisfying result.
Other results: Masters Open with Sudu 3rd in final and Masters Womens with Port Hacking 3rd in final and Senior C, again with Sudu close up 3rd.
So many people to thank that keep the NWD machine rolling along. My assistant coach Dries and coach Mick that bring different and complementary drills to our training.
On race days our volunteers Dana and Mick, tent carter, fruit and lolly organizer to mention some!
Yesterday was another good day. We now face a Busy month next month with CNY Sat 11th Feb and State Sun 26th Feb so no resting on laurels, there is still more to do.
Easy week this week (note Dries) and short session on Sat then some boat cleaning /maint, more info on that to follow.
Cheers, Peter R
