Another box in our 20016/17 regatta season got a great big tick in it with two heats and the FINAL win in NWD’s pet event – the Grand Master mixed (senior B).
Against quality opposition it was hard to fault those three races which had strong starts and sustained power through the race. These wins – and the related trophy’s – don’t just fall from the sky, you have to train and work hard for them.
Our other good results – Senior C, (2nd out of 4 teams), Masters open, with Sudu, (2nd out of 12 teams) and Masters Women with Port Hacking )3rd out of 16 teams rounded off another successful regatta.
No rest in this busy time of year regatta wise with State Championships 2 weeks away on Sun 26th Feb so training will switch back to 500m focus.
Our volunteer Dana looked like she earned every cent of volunteer payment in the rubber ducky. Thanks Dana!G rapes and watermelon and lollies went down well too.
With 6 training sessions till state I think we can afford a easy one so coffee run to zoo on Sat 18th Feb. See you all on the water!
Cheers, Peter R
